Two To Be Inducted Into MSU Sports Hall of Fame

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Two former Mississippi State student-athletes will be inducted into the MSU Sports Hall of Fame during pregame festivities when Bulldog football hosts Texas A&M on Oct. 4, the MSU athletic department announced Thursday. Men's basketball's Rickey Brown and track and field standout Tiffany McWilliams Dudley will represent the 2014 class of the MSU Sports Hall of Fame.

Starkville, Miss. – After opening the season with two-straight weekends on the road, the Mississippi State volleyball Bulldogs (2-5) are finally back in the land of Maroon and White. The Bulldogs open their home schedule on Thursday, Sept. 11, with the first of two hosted tournaments, the 2014 Maroon Classic.

Interment will follow at Lee Memorial Park in Verona. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9 and again on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 9 -11 a.m.

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Jacob Sanford "Jack" Cristil, the beloved former sports broadcaster of six decades of Mississippi State University athletics, died Sunday [Sept. 7] at the age of 88 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo of complications from kidney disease and cancer after an extended illness. Cristil, who served MSU from 1953 to 2011, was known throughout the South as "the Voice of the Bulldogs."
