Unfortunately, there are scam artists across the country and around the world trying to defraud Nebraskans every day. Nationwide, scams against seniors are generating billions of dollars each year for criminals. Together, we must fight back.

Shoe boxes packed with gift items for children of all ages were collected the week prior to Thanksgiving at First Christian Church in Broken Bow, the local relay center for Operation Christmas Child. A project of the mission group Samaritan's Purse, founded by Franklin Graham, Operation Christmas Child collects and distributes Christmas gift boxes to children all around the world.
The Loup Valley Conference has announced the All-Conference Volleyball Teams for the 2010 season. Seven players were chosen to the first and second teams with Ansley leading the nine schools with three first team selections. Mullen and Sargent followed with two first team selections each.
First Team All-Conference selections are Ansley’s Chelsea Entz (Sr.), Taylor Rohde (Sr.) and Siera Rohde (Jr.), Mullen’s Mardee Sierks (Sr.) and Tricia Young (Sr.) and Sargent’s Kelsey Frink (Sr.) and Alex Hart (So.).
The Broken Bow Indians led all teams with eight players named to the 2010 C1-9 All-District Football Offensive and Defensive Teams. Gothenburg and Valentine each placed seven players on the teams.
Named to the all-district defensive team for the Indians were seniors Adam Pracht and Tyler Kozisek, junior Nate Hanson and sophomore Tanner Johnson. Valentine also placed four on the defensive team.
