Semi jackknifes on Highway 2

January 22, 2012

A Texas truck driver and his passenger had a close call Sunday morning, escaping what could have been a critical accident with only minor injuries.
According to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, the semi, owned by Southern Refrigerated Transport, was being driven by Steven Dale Allvord. Approximately 1 1/2 to 2 miles east of Broken Bow on Highway 2, the truck attempted to pass a slower moving vehicle in front of him.
