Broken Bow baseball fall short against Kearney

June 15, 2012

Broken Bow fell to Kearney 5-3 Friday night. Kearney Little Ceaser's jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and Broken Bow never managed to recover. Nebraska State Bank made a slight push in the bottom of the seventh, cutting the score to 5-3 from a 5-1 deficit to start the inning, but were unable to recover. Broken Bow takes on Gothenburg Saturday at 3:30 pm at Tomahawk Park. Broken Bow beat Gothenburg on the road in their previous matchup. Spirit Softball pounds Sargent/Burwell

The train keeps on rolling.

Spirit softball continued their impressive season with a 16-1 victory over Sargent/Burwell Wednesday night. Catcher Morgan Hueftle lead the way offensively with two doubles and 5 RBI's. Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben announce Pioneer Family awards

The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben and the Nebraska Fair Managers Association along with the Nebraska Farm Bureau announces the 109 honorees from 55 counties for the 2012 Pioneer Farm Family Awards. In order to qualify for this distinction, members of the same family must have owned a partial of land consecutively for at least 100 years.
