Mildred Ann Klapal, age 89, of Broken Bow, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at the Off Broadway Assisted Living in Broken Bow.
Funeral services were July 27 at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with the Rev. Glen Emert officiating. Burial was in the National Bohemian Cemetery near Comstock. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow was in charge of arrangements.
Calvin (Kelly) Albert Treptow of Comstock, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
Services were Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Ord Memorial Chapel with burial following at Douglas Grove Cemetery in Comstock. Memorials are suggested to the family. Ord Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

In 1912, Woodrow Wilson was elected president of the United States, the Titanic sunk on its very first voyage, New Mexico and Arizona were admitted as states, and the Girl Scouts of America was founded. It was also the year the current Custer County Courthouse was built.
Next week, Custer County will throw a birthday party - marking the centennial of the Courthouse. The main event is planned for all day Monday, Aug. 6, with a full slate of activities.
