Broken Bow picked up its third straight victory Thursday night with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-15) win over Ravenna Thursday night. It was their second straight victory over Ravenna this week after downing them 2-1 in the previous matchup.
The Indians took control right away and didn't let up, particularly in the second set. Broken Bow jumped out to a 12-2 lead before siding out.

This past Sunday, the Bucaneers and Giants made waves when first-year head coach of the Bucaneers Greg Schiano (formerly the coach at Rutgers) had his defense knock the offensive line back into Eli Manning when he was taking a knee, setting off the volcano that resides in Tom Coughlin's belly.
So they griped during the handshake and Coughlin sneered and Schiano stood his ground, saying that he was simply instructing his players to play until the final whistle.

MERNA - - The Republican National Convention was filled with rally speeches from high profile people, and days filled with events designed to fire up the party members in attendance. One of those party members, serving as a Nebraska delegate to the convention, was Craig Safranek of Merna.
Craig was only in junior high in 1984, when a teacher got him interested in the presidential election. He remembers watching Ronald Reagan, and being fascinated by the fact that one man could have such a profound affect on the nation and the world.
