LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) â€” A coalition of lawmakers is pushing to increase Nebraska's minimum wage to $9 an hour by 2017.
The measure was introduced on Thursday by state Sen. Jeremy Nordquist of Omaha and 14 other lawmakers.
President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats are pushing legislation this year to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 per hour over two years.
