Grant Clausen of Sumner-Eddyville-Miller took on Zachary Zeleski of Overton and won in hard fought match 3-1 that went into overtime. It was an OT takedown that made the difference. Grant wrestles at 285.
This year the meet started with the 195 pound weight class.
Wyatt Lane, wrestling at D106 for Arcadia Loup City, also takes home gold. He defeated Jacob Calvert of Dundy County-Stratton in the championship match with a 6-5 decision.

Itâ€™s going to be an exciting day at the Centurylink Center in Omaha as the State High School Wrestling comes to a close â€“ by early evening the champs will be crowned, but every contestant should go home a winner. Yesterdayâ€™s mat battles resulted in ultimate emotions, sheer joy for the winners and utter disappointment for the losers. All were hard fought.
