Becky Pearson, PT, and staff want you to get up and get moving.
She says she and her staff are âjust a littleâ competitive, so when they started talking about putting together a weight loss challenge of their own and presented the idea out to a few of their clients, the idea blossomed.
âWe were all trying to eat a little healthier and were going to organize an internal (in office) challenge when others said theyâd like to join in,â explained Pearson.
Theirs is a journey that began 12 years ago, and culminated with the arrival of the greatest Christmas gift either could ever receive - a baby. Shasta and Marty Leggettâs story is one of heartache and triumph.
The young couple - she a Broken Bow High School grad, he an Anselmo-Merna grad - were married in September 2000. Though they had not made a conscious decision to start a family right away they werenât opposed to the idea, and in December 2001 Shasta found out she was pregnant. However, their joy soon turned to sorrow when just eight weeks later she experienced a miscarriage.
The Custer County Board of Supervisors kicked in the new year with formal Sine and Die proceedings Tuesday, re-electing Larry Hickenbottom as the board chair for 2013, and Mark Haynes as the vice-chair.
âAre there any of you with special goals for 2013?â asked Hickenbottom at meetingâs onset, âbecause I have one.â
Hickenbottom said he wanted the County to finish whatever steps it needed to take to be 911 compliant ... âSo if you call for an ambulance, the 911 center will know where you are.â
