The couple plans to be married July 21, 2012, at the Broken Bow Berean Church.
Following the wedding, the couple plans to reside in Broken Bow.
Les and Sandi Manning of Broken Bow, are happy to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their son, Marcus, to Kristen Ditges, daughter of Jeff and Laura Ditges of Broomfield, Colo.
The future bride graduated in 2006 from the University of Colorado-Boulder, with majors in economics and international affairs. She is the marketing and human resources director for Source Communication LLC in Broomfield, Colo.
Dale and Kathy Dobesh of Ansley, proudly announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Julia Amanda Dobesh, to Alex David Bauer, son of Randy and Kim Bauer of McCook.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ansley High School and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is currently employed at US Bank.
The prospective groom is a graduate of McCook High School and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He is currently employed with Farm Credit Services of America.

Shirley Ann Vincent, 79 of Sargent, died Thursday June 21, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. Services were Monday, June 25, at the Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent, with the Rev. Don Schauda officiating. Burial was at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Sargent.
Shirley Ann Vincent was born to Willard and Eva (Love) Hurlbert Nov. 10, 1935, at Burwell, and passed away June 21, 2012. at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. She lived her childhood in the Taylor/Kent area and also in the Mason City area.
Anna Marie Jahn, age 57, presently of North Platte, died Saturday morning June 23, 2012, at 7:21 a.m., at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center, as the result of a severe fall and stroke.
Anna Marie was born July 12, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo., to Keith and Alyce Mary (Boyd) Jahn and she was the only child of this union. In 1963, the family moved back to Falls City to take over the family trucking business, Jahn Livestock Transportation, which later became Jahn Transportation.
Florene Gould, 89, of Arcadia passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the Rose Lane Home in Loup City.
A Celebration of her life was Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Floreneâs granddaughter, Chaplin Trish Redding officiated. Burial was in the Arcadia City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Rose Lane Home or Asera Care Hospice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
ANSLEY - - A 50-year-old Ansley man has been arrested for possession of child pornography, as the result of a joint investigation involving the Custer County Sheriffâs Office, Nebraska State Patrol and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force.
Anthony Lewandowski, who resides at 814 Hale Street in Ansley, was arrested June 21, 2012, after a warrant was issued following an investigation in which a computer that Lewandowski possessed was found to have child pornography on it. The computer, along with other electronic devices, was seized.
In the past three weeks, the community of Broken Bow has come together like never before, and has been the recipient of support and encouragement from far and wide. This Sunday, we will be given another opportunity to share in a special way.
Nebraskaâs High School Rodeo State Finals in Hastings has come to a close, and the champions are sitting on some new saddles. Vern and Velma Oatman were honored Friday evening at the State High School Rodeo in Hastings with a rodeo âLifetime Achievement Award.â As part of the presentation, Bill Manning, the president of the Mid-States Rodeo Association, said that the Oatmans have done more to promote and support High School Rodeo than anyone he knew. Vern in his remarks accepting the award said that they have a 2-year-old great-grandchild, so they would be around a few years longer.
