Here is the weekly Bill roundup for the week ending April 26.
All area citizens are encouraged to join together and pray for our community and our country, during National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 2. The event will be from 6:30 AM â 7:30 AM in the Broken Bow Municipal Auditorium. Continental Breakfast will be served. The National Day of Prayer local event is sponsored by the Broken Bow Ministerial Association, and is open to anyone of any denomination.
CALLAWAY - - Until a few months ago, Callaway sophomore Bailey Mach was an active high school athlete. She played basketball, and last spring ran the mile for her track team.
In February, Bailey began experiencing weakness in her legs and pain in her feet. She had suffered a concussion in a basketball game in January and doctors thought her symptoms were related to the migraine she endured for several days after her concussion.
Custer County Sheriff Dan Osmond has been recognized by his peers for a job well done.
During a special reception April 18 at the Jail Standards Convention, Osmond was presented with the âExcellence in Detention Facility Administrationâ award, one of only two given each year by Nebraskaâs Jail Standards Board across the entire state of Nebraska.
Nominations for the award are made by either the personâs boss or employees and then voted on by members of the board.
