School Board to meet tonight

July 15, 2013

The Broken Bow Board of Education will meet tonight, July 15, at 7 p.m. in the board room at the high school. Items on the agenda include approval of Superintendent Mark Sievering as district representative; annual approval of student, activity and teacher handbooks; and approval of the purchase of a 2013 Chevrolet pickup. A class grouping policy for establishing class size will also be discussed this evening, but is not listed on the agenda as an action item.

Stay Safe this Summer as Temperatures Rise

Summer is here, bringing with it dangerous excessive heat. The American Red Cross has steps people can follow to stay safe as the temperatures soar.

“Excessive heat can be deadly; it has caused more deaths in recent years than all other weather events,” said Tina Labellarte, Region CEO. “We want everyone to stay safe during the hot weather and have some reminders for them to follow when the weather is hot and humid.”
