Hosted again by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the 49th annual Country Music Awards were chocked full of great times and memorable moments. Chris Stapleton cleaned up with 3 awards and a duet with Justin Timberlake. Miranda Lambert brightened her day with a win for female vocalist of the year. And as expected, Luke Bryan took home the hardware for male entertainer of the year. Congrats to all, and what a great show!
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) â€” Children and wives of fallen soldiers who served in Afghanistan and Iraq are being honored in a flight to Lincoln.
A plane carrying 22 mothers and 35 children is scheduled to depart from Omaha's Eppley Airfield and arrive at the Lincoln Airport Saturday morning as part of the Gold Star Kids Honor Flight. The flight is organized by Patriotic Productions, an Omaha nonprofit that has organized trips to Washington, D.C., for World War II and Korean War veterans.

Broken Bow, NE â€“ On Thursday, October 29, 2015, Custer Campus individuals along with Governor Pete Ricketts and Chief Justice Mike Heavican will celebrate the completion of the Judicial Center in Broken Bow with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The recently completed, 17,000-square-foot facility includes two courtrooms for County and District court, a hearing room, offices for the county attorney, probation officer, clerks of the court, and support staff.
A customer has let us know that they were contacted by a company called "Showmark" offering to sell a plaque for the "Best of the Best in Central Nebraska" that ran in the Custer County Chief September 24, 2015.
