Randy Martinez, age 23 of Broken Bow died Sunday Oct. 5, 2014, from injuries received in an automobile accident near Eddyville.
Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with Minister Kathy Salts officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Wyoming.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to help with final expenses.
Randy Daniel Martinez Jr. was born Jan. 31, 1991, at Laramie, Wyo., to Randy Daniel Martinez and Sheila Menning.
Lester Elliot Baller, a resident of Heritage Hall for the last five years, passed away Oct. 10, 2014, at Heritage Hall. Lester celebrated his 101st birthday Aug. 12, 2014.
Lester was born on Aug. 12, 1913, to Frank and Ethel â€śLizzyâ€ť (Elliot) Baller in York County, near McCool Junction. Lester had one brother and one sister. He grew up in the Callaway and Broken Bow area.
Lester was united in marriage to Helen Glendy June 1, 1935. To this union three children were born: a son, Lesley; and two daughters, Anita Kay and Rita Joy.
Joseph J. Knott, 87 of Albion, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Home in Albion.
Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Albion, with the Rev. K.F. Kaleuati officiating. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 162 and VFW Post 736 of Albion.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of arrangements.

Dolores Maxine Mason was born Aug. 18, 1935 to Vada Beryl Stirrat and Fred Floyd Mason.
Dolores was the third child of 13. Dolores lived in several towns before the family settled in Callaway when she was 14.
Dolores stayed with an aunt in Pawnee City through high school and graduated in 1953. After graduation she was employed as a Lab Tech by Doctors Anderson and Stewart.
While in Pawnee City she met her husband, they were married in 1954, they were later divorced.
To this union five sons were born, Fred LeRoy, Paul Otis, Dale Wayne, Joel Glen and Kurt Alan.
Sutton, resident James Joseph Grady, 70, passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Fairview Manor in Fairmont.
Memorial services were Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, with the Rev. Martha Nordt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Stanton, Rescue Squad or the donorâ€™s choice.

Arlene Dew departed this earth for her Heavenly Home Oct. 9. 2014, at the age of 83.
She received loving care at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne, Wyo., during the waning years of her life.
Born in Valentine, Arlene was the eldest daughter of George and Mildred Schmidt.
She grew up with her parents and five siblings on a farm in rural South Dakota She graduated from Winner High School in South Dakota in 1949. After graduation, Arlene was employed by the Cherry County Treasurerâ€™s Office in Valentine.
Her favorite sports were baseball and football. Arlene
Patricia Louise Peacock, 70, of Broken Bow passed away peacefully Oct. 4, 2014, surrounded by her family at her home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1943, in Loup City to Walter and Viola Gitchel (Bivens).
Patricia attended grade school and graduated from Comstock High School. She also attended several college classes from Kearney State College.
Roberta Elaine (Farritor) Collins, 59, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at her home in Broken Bow.
Roberta was born May 24, 1955, in Broken Bow, to William and Margaret (Kelly) Farritor.
She attended Broken Bow Grade School and graduated from the Broken Bow High School in 1975.
She married Stan Collins June 19, 1982, in Broken Bow where they made their home.
Berta worked over a quarter of a century as a Head Start teacher and then as a para educator at the Broken Bow Public Schools. She loved working with the kids and was an excellent teacher.
Ollie was born Aug. 25, 1924, at the family home in Litchfield to Niels Hans and Emma Marie (Olsen) Nielsen. She was the sixth born of seven children, Orville, Harold, Clara, Anna, Dorothy and Lillian. She attended Litchfield Public graduating in 1942.
Ollie taught in rural schools near Wood River and Oconto. It was at the mailbox at the Tuckerville School she met the love of her life, Harley Richard â€śDickâ€ť Hanson, the local rural mailman. They were married July 10, 1949, at Ollieâ€™s parentâ€™s home in Litchfield. They were married for 63 years until Dickâ€™s death separated them.
Frank Lanka, age 78, of Grand River, Iowa, died Wednesday Oct. 1, 2014, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Memorial services were Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at the Broken Bow Cemetery with the Rev. Jurdan Counts officiating.
Frank was born July 19, 1936, at Ogallala, to Frank and Grace (Hayes) Lanka.
Frank excelled in football and in track at Stapleton High School, and held the discus throwing record at Stapleton High School for many years. He loved football.
