Edwin Payne Sr., age 71 of Purdum, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements.
Jean Louise (Tyler) Butterfield was born at Valentine, to John Howard and Daisy Mae (Mark) Tyler April 17, 1926; she was the second of four children.
When Jean was 2-years-old the family moved to the Antelope Ranch near Valentine. At age four the family moved to Saint Frances, S.D. near the Rosebud Reservation where her father had bought three quarters of land.
John Meyer, 101 years of age from Broken Bow, formerly of Minden and Upland, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
He was born May 16, 1910, in Kearney County near Norman, to H. T. and Minnie (Nielsen) Meyer. He grew up in that area and attended country school. He was baptized and confirmed at the Fredericksburg Lutheran Church south of Minden.
