Funeral services for Roland Roy Kaelin, age 75 of Ansley, were Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Ansley with the Rev. Bill Ragan officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of arrangements. Memorials have been established to the Ansley Baptist Church or the Ansley Fire and Rescue unit.
Dorothy L. Zacarias, 80 of Grand Island, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at Golden Living Center, Lakeview Nursing home.
Services were. Oct. 10, at Apfel Funeral Home with the Rev. George Oxford officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to be given in care of the family.
A brief graveside service for Archie L. Fink will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011. His ashes will be interred at the Purdum Cemetery in Purdum.
Archie Fink was the youngest son of Chester G. Fink. The Fink family has been well known in the Elsmere community for many decades. Archie moved to western Canada with his family in 1959, where he owned and operated a cattle ranch until his retirement. He passed away peacefully June 15, 2011, in Merritt, British Columbia.
Bertha Einspahr, age 93 of Broken Bow, formerly of Brewster, died Wednesday Oct. 5, 2011, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 10, at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with the Rev. Ben Eickhoff officiating. Burial was in the Brewster Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of arrangements.
Bertha Einspahr was born Sept. 1, 1918, at Minot, ND to Carl and Mabel (Myren) Swenson.
Bertha is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister and a brother.
Luella Ballard, age 75 of Broken Bow, died at her home Oct. 2, 2011. Graveside funeral services will be today, Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the Broken Bow Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Winn and Bob Woodward officiating. Interment will be in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Lucial E. Kulhanek passed away at Larchwood Inns Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at the age of 94. She was born April 22, 1917 in Ansley, to John and Marie Tiff. She was the youngest of their seven children.
Her three brothers and three sisters have preceded her in death.
She married Lloyd Kulhanek on her birthday in 1936. They had three children and lived in Fruita for many years. They divorced in 1969. He preceded her in death.
Lucial is survived by her sons, Gary (Judy Rumelhart) and Jay Kulhanek, and her daughter, Deanna (William) Herrick.
Madonna Nichelson, 82, of Lexington, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at the Elwood Care Center in Elwood.
She was born June 6, 1929, at Omaha, to Claude and Edna (Lobdell) Janson. The family moved to Cozad when she was in the 8th grade, where she finished her schooling.
She was united in marriage to Jim Nichelson April 27, 1946, at Norton, Kansas. The couple was blessed with three children; Gerald â€śJerryâ€ť,, Linda and Mike.
Andrew C. Gobel, Jr., 75, of Grand Island, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Northridge Assembly of God Church in Grand Island. There will be no visitation. Cremation services were provided by Westlawn Memorial Park. Burial of ashes will be at 10:30 am Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Westerville Cemetery in Westerville.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is serving the family. Memorials are suggested to Northridge Assembly of God Church or to the family.
Minnie May Wolf, 88, of Kearney, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Mt. Carmel Home Keens Memorial in Kearney.
She was born May 19, 1923, in Spalding, to James A. and Rosa Harvey. March 18, 1944, she married Steven Lenno Wolf, in North Platte. He died Oct. 7, 1971.
She attended country school near Spalding, and received her GED in 1986. Her husband and her farmed in Dawson County for 25 years.
Marguerite M. Hurt, 92, of Loup City, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at the Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul.
Services were Oct. 4 at St. Josaphatâ€™s Catholic Church in Loup City with the Rev. Marty L. Egging officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Peters Funeral Home of Loup City was in charge of arrangements.
