Destani SummerRose Wilder, 11, of Sargent, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, in an automobile accident near Miller.
Destani was born to Amanda Ogden July 23, 2001, in Broken Bow. Three years later, Richard Wilder came into her life and, on Dec. 12, 2005, Richard adopted her and her younger sister, Montannah.
Charles Phillip â€śBillâ€ť Estes was born Dec. 22, 1914, at Dunning, to Elmer Ralph and Loretta Verona (Rice) Estes. He moved to the Lillian community in 1921, where he spent the majority of his 97 years.
He was baptized Feb. 20, 1929, and was a lifetime member of the Lillian Church of Christ. Bill attended elementary school at Lillian, and high school at Gates, graduating as Valedictorian of his class in 1933. He excelled in track, basketball, and softball and earned several gold medals at the Custer County track meet.
Lavern D.(Vern) Dickman, 78, lost his short fought battle with Cancer Sept. 3, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, surrounded by his loving family.
Vern was born in Sargent, to Otto and Lillie (Wolf) Dickman May, 25, 1934. Vern attended country school through 8th grade and graduated from Sargent High School in May 1951.
The day after graduation he went to Broken Bow and bought his first truck, and from then on trucking was his life.
Keith F. Dubry, 85, went to be with the Lord Sept. 7, 2012, at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. (CT) Saturday, Sept. 15, at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Thedford, with Pastor Ted Meter and the Rev. Linda Martin officiating. Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Thedford with military rites. Cremation has taken place at Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory in Scottsbluff. There will be no visitation.
Arthur William (Bud) Dilsaver, 80 of Ord, died Aug. 31, 2012, at 2 a.m. at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He was born June 22, 1927, to Arthur E. and Mary Margaret (Replogle) Dilsaver in the Madison Square Community in Loup County.
He graduated from Loup County High School in 1944. He helped out on the family farm raising black Angus cattle, pigs, corn and oats. He loved to ride horses. He worked there until Sept. 4, 1949, when he married Marie Maybelle (Dunbar) at the United Methodist Church in Taylor.
Mary Ellen Armour Stone was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Western, Nebr., to Ernest M. and Anna K. Winter Armour. She was the youngest of four children.
She graduated from Western High School and the University of Nebraska with a degree in business administration. While at the university, she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, and served on the Panhellenic Association Board.
Lois Jean Williams, 89, of rural Eddyville, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at her home. She was born March 3, 1923, in her familyâ€™s home at rural Eddyville to Clarence and Ruth (Eastwood) Walter. Jean graduated from Eddyville High School with the class of 1940, and then worked for a year at the Eddyville High School. December 21, 1942, she married the love of her life, Thurman Williams, in Lexington. One son, Ross, was blessed to this marriage.
A visitation for Glen Willard Fletcher, 82, of Gainesville, Texas, is set for Friday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. Interment will follow at the Merna Cemetery in Merna, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Lawrence Francis officiating..
Glen was born in Long Pine, Dec. 20, 1929, to Albert Barnes Fletcher and Grace Hollopeter Fletcher. He passed away Sept. 7, 2012, in Gainesville.
James D. Drake, 80, of Kearney, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at St. Luke's Good Samaritan Village. A graveside memorial service was Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Litchfield Cemetery with the Rev.
