Max Edgar Copsey, 91 of Albany, Ore., passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Mennonite Home. He was a kind and gentle man loved by everyone who knew him.
Max was born in Sargent Dec. 6, 1920, the son of Milton F. and Anna S. (Amos) Copsey. He was raised in Westerville and attended schools there.
Max moved to Albany in 1940, and worked for Simpson Plywood. He married Ellen Moore Jan. 19, 1941, and in 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in New Guinea, the southern Philippines and Luzon. He was discharged from Fort Logan, Colo., in 1945.
James (Jim) Joyce Eacker was born in Ericson Nov. 26, 1924, and grew up in Broken Bow. Jim passed away April 14, 2012, at St. Josephâs Hospital in Orange, Calif., surrounded by his family.
He was the 12th child of 15 born to proud parents John Isaac Eacker and Freida Marie (Thomas) Eacker. Jim joined the U.S. Coast Guard Dec. 7, 1942, and was honorably discharged April 19, 1946.
Jim married Geraldine (Jerry) Mae Nunes June 15, 1947. Jim and Jerry lived in Holmes Flat, Calif., from 1947 till 1956.
William Eugene Hickey, age 71 of Cozad, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at his home in Cozad after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Bill was born Dec. 22, 1940, to William J. and Gertrude (McCarthy) Hickey at their home near Anselmo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael; step-father, Lyle Kutsch and sister-in-law, Connie Hickey.
Sandra Verlene Meinhardt, 74, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., passed away at the home of her son, Brett Meinhardt, also of Sierra Vista, April 14, 2012, after a brief struggle with melanoma cancer.
She was born March 13, 1938, the third child of Ralph and Avis Headley Clay in Broken Bow. She started elementary school near Berwyn. In February 1947, she and her sister Dawn, after the death of their mother, moved to Longview, Wash., to live with their grandparents, Willie and Elsie Headley.
Howard âLevernâ Snider, 55, of Overton, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his home in Overton, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Lexington with Pastor Rex Adams officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Purdum Cemetery at Purdum.

Funeral services for Bonnie Jean (Enterline) Neth, of rural Broken Bow, were Tuesday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Broken Bow Evangelical Free Church. Bonnie passed away April 13, 2012, at Callaway District Hospital after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Bonnie was born July 5, 1931, in Belmar, to Melvin Earl and Velva Ruth (Burnett) Enterline. The family moved to Hershey when Kingsley Dam was built. Bonnie graduated from Hershey High School.
Bonnie and Ivan Neth were united in marriage June 18, 1950, and have lived on Ryno Table for 61 years.

Dana Ruth Milleson Fink, of Elsmere, was born to Frank and Lola Milleson Jan. 6, 1923, at Thedford. Dana Ruth passed away April 10, 2012, in Kearney.
She moved with her family to the Elsmere area in 1934. Dana Ruth graduated from Thedford High School in 1940. After completing teacher's training, she taught school at South Wrage, Calf Creek, north of Seneca and at the Pleasant Hill School for a total of 40 years.
Former Broken Bow resident Donald L. Vanderheiden, 77, passed away April 8, 2012 while in the hospital in Inverness, Fla.
Don was born and raised in the Valentine area. After high school he attended Chadron State College where he established and competed as a bull rider on the Chadron State Rodeo Team and competed in Golden Gloves boxing.

There may be some opinion, but mostly just facts that can be confirmed if you want to take the trouble. These final words are a little long, but it averages out to about one minute for each decade, and I do not think that is unreasonable.
Joe Goeden age 84 died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Memorial services were Tuesday, April 10, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Broken Bow with Father Jim Hunt officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary in charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be given to the Broken Bow Library or the donor's choice.
