Audrey Jean Mills Eastman, 64, of Topeka, Kan., died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012.
She is survived by her husband, Andy Eastman of Topeka, Kan.; sons, Bryan Eastman of Lawrence, Kan., and Nate (Shannon) Eastman; two grandchildren, Mallory and Nolan Eastman of Topeka, Kan.; brother, Morris Mills of Lincoln; sisters, Arlene (John) Oâ€™Neill of Grand Island, Roberta ( Steve) Morrison of Lincoln; nieces and nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
John Charles Land, 62, of Gwinn, Mich., passed away early Thursday morning, Nov. 8, at his home in the presence of his loving family and under the care of Lake Superior Hospice.
Edna Grayce Hall Brown was born Feb. 19, 1917, northeast of Ansley, in the Box Elder community. Her parents were Fred and Edna Harpster Hall. She was one of five children. Grayce attended the Box Elder school and graduated from Ansley High School in 1934. One of her favorite teachers was Tizzy Clay.
November 8, 2012, Erma Naomi Lee Brown was received into the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Erma was born June 17, 1918, in Round Valley, to Edgar and Bertha Lee.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Emily Holcomb; and granddaughter, Dr. Robyn Lee Rairigh.
She is survived by husband, Harold Brown; four children, Sharon (Robert Rairigh) of Gering, Terry (Ann) Brown of Hawaii, Charlene (Phil) Severson of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Ted (Kathy) Brown of Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren; sister, DeVohn (Leo) Peterson of Nebraska, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alberta (Fellows) Jensen was born in a sod house near Koshopah April 8, 1015, to Frank and Mamie (Fetherston) Fellows. She passed away Nov. 8, 2012, at the age of 97.
Alberta attended Cottonwood from first through 10th grade, and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1932, taking the Normal Training school program.
Alberta married Ted Jensen Feb. 12, 1934, in Taylor. To this union nine children were born. They lived in the Koshopah and Cottonwood area ranching together for many years. She was Tedâ€™s extra hand whenever he needed one.
Cyndia L. Rasmussen, 54 of rural Hazard, passed away at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.
Services were Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hazard, with the Rev. Dean Hanson officiating. Burial was in the Hazard Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church or the Hazard Cemetery. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna was in charge of arrangements.
Sanfra (Sandie) Willis Case, 63, passed away Oct. 11, 2012, at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Ind.
She was an incredibly talented artist and donated many hours of her time to producing various publications for Christ Gospel Church. Sandie loved the outdoors, enjoyed traveling, and was a faithful member of Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Joseph Edward Tondreau, age 71 of Berwyn, passed away in his home Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. Joseph was born Dec. 19, 1940, at the family home in Mason City, to Lewis J. and Marjorie Ruth (Cox) Tondreau. He grew up in the Mason City area and attended Hopewell Grade School then went on to later graduate from Mason City High School in 1959.
He was well known by a couple different names, depending on where he was at the time. Some know him as Joe while others know him as Ed, however, knowing him and his sense of humor, he was probably known by several other names as well.
Lorraine Saner Glause, 72 of Broken Bow, entered into Heaven Nov. 1, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 27, 1940, in Crawford, to Harley and Laura (Carruth) Saner and was the youngest of seven children.
Lorraine's nickname "Toby" was given to her by her dad at a young age. Lorraine and her family moved to a ranch by Dunning when she was 2-years-old, where she attended country school. Lorraine then attended school in Dunning where she met lifelong friends. During Lorraine's childhood she enjoyed spending time outdoors playing with her cousins.
Clara Ann Ridder, age 100 of Kearney, formerly of the Callaway area, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the North Ridge Assisted Living in Kearney.
Christian wake services were Monday, Nov. 5, with A Mass of Christian Burial Service following at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oconto, with Fr. Antony Thekkekara officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway. Memorials are suggested to the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Callaway. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow was in charge of the arrangements.
