Gary L. Kranz, age 42 of Oconto, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2015.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at the Oconto Community Center in Oconto with Pastor Lawrence Francis officiating. Burial was in the Oconto Cemetery.
Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow was in charge of the arrangements.
Gary Lee Kranz was born April 9, 1972, to Dwain and Delores (Eckard) Kranz at Atkinson. He grew up near Eddyville and attended Sumner Eddyville Miller School.
Gary farmed and ranched with his family on the Kranz Farms near Eddyville.
Barry D. âCoachâ Schultz, 61, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, at CHI St. Francis Health in Grand Island.
Services were Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at the Third City Christian Church in Grand Island with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Burial was in the Burwick Cemetery in Cairo.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date in lieu of flowers.

Mary Lee Shotkoski, 88 of Lincoln, formerly of Arcadia, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at Sumner Place in Lincoln.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at St. Josaphatâs Catholic Church in Loup City with Father Martin Egging officiating. Burial followed at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City.
Memorials are suggested to the Arcadia Fire and Rescue.

Ray Lambert of Wickenburg, Ariz., passed away Dec. 15, 2014, at the Effus Ranch near Wickenburg.
Ray was born Aug. 13, 1943, in Smith Center, Kan., and lived in the area until his parents moved to Broken Bow, Neb., and then to the Steve Cooksley Ranch near Anselmo, Neb.
Ray grew up working with ranch and draft horses and developed a love for the freedom of the ranching way of life.
Virginia Lee (Kelly) Bedner, 78, of Grand Island, died, surrounded by her
family, Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Saint Maryâs Cathedral. Fr. Jose Chavez will officiate. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
The Catholic daughterâs rosary will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at All Faiths
Visitation will be from 1 - 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, with a Rosary at 3 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Jason Thomas Bates of Alabama, born Aug. 31, 1979, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at the age of 35.
He loved the time he got to spend with family. Growing up he enjoyed playing with his siblings and cousin Kristy. As a father, he looked forward to family night every week. He loved teaching his boys how to fix cars and build things, especially with wood, and to show them that if they set their minds to it there was nothing they couldnât do. He always said that in his perfect world he and his boys would play video games all day.
Crystal was born July 1, 1984, to Tammy and Rickey McAlevy in Broken Bow. She lived in Mitchell, with her family. She took her last breath Dec. 21, 2014, while having a long awaited Christmas gathering with her family in Merna. The last day of her life was filled with excitement and fun.
Donald Bradford Gouldie was born Dec. 8, 1930, at Stamford. His mother was Sylvia Ellen (Goosic) Gouldie and his father, Thomas John Gouldie. Don was an only child. His mother remarked that when he was born, she knew she would never do better so he remained an only child.
Don attended Stamford elementary through the eighth grade and graduated from Arapahoe High School in 1948.
Don attended Hastings College then joined the U.S. Navy in 1950 and served aboard the USS Montrose from May 1950 to April of 1954. He was honorably discharged in October 1954.
Marjorie J. Witthuhn, 80, of Callaway, Nebraska, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.Â
Marjorie was born Feb. 17, 1934, in Minden, to Clarence and Esther (Stadler) Rodine.
Marjorie lived all ofher life in Callaway. She attended StopTable district 93 rural grade school and attended Callaway High School.Â She graduated with the class of 1951.Â
Darlene G.Warner, 90, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at her home in Lexington.Â
Darlene was born April 17, 1924, in Oconto, to Larry and Susie (Wells) Beck. She grew up in Oconto and was a 1942 graduateof Oconto High School.Â
She marriedArnold Duschanek and three children were born to this marriage; Barry, Diann and Dennis. The marriage later ended in divorce.Â
