Vivian M. Ditch, age 82, of North Platte, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, at Centennial Park. She was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Milford, to George and Ruby (Swisher) Porter. She grew up in Arnold.
She married Thomas Robinson July 3, 1949, and to this union two daughters were born, Nancy and Judy.
She then married Ivan Ditch Jan. 16, 1957, and to this union two sons were born, Ira and Sean.
Emma was born Sept. 6, 1923, on a farm in Round Valley Community in Custer County, Nebraska to Joseph and Anna (Jares) Jezbera. She attended school in Round Valley through the 10th grade.
Emma assisted her parents on the farm for many years.
May 12, 1956, she was married to Alvin Smolik in Sargent. They made their home in Sargent and years later moved to a farm northeast of Sargent.
Louise (Holcomb) Bennett, age 93, passed away Oct. 29, 2014, at a Care Unit in Renton, Wash.
She was born near Milburn in 1921.
She leaves to mourn her four children, Pearl, Ruth, Marvin and Duane; plus grandchildren, William Plant, Ashlyn Nevius, Kiem Bennin, Rylee Bennin, Marcus Ray Bennett, Dylan Bennett and Grayson Bennett; she also leaves a sister, Audrey Allbright of Lexington and families, Robert Allbright and Richard Allbright and family of Cozad, Bonnie of Omaha, Barbara of Kearney, and Cindy and Dan and sons, Eric and Douglas of Marquette, Mich.
Antoinette Arlyne Werner (affectionately known as Beanie) died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, as a result of an accidental house fire, at her home in Thedford.
Antoinette was born to Carl Gustave and Antoinette (Ostergard) Wiese May 31, 1919, at the family ranch northwest of Purdum. She grew up on the ranch attending country school, then graduating from Lincoln High School in Lincoln. Afterward, she attended nurses training at St. Francis School of Nursing in Grand Island.
She continued working there after graduating, eventually becoming the Director of Nursing.
Charles D. Swisher was born May 19, 1929, in Halsey, to Lewis and Mary (Ott) Swisher.Â Charles attended school at Rose Hill Country School and later Halsey School until 5th grade.Â
In 1960, he was married to Brenda Oxford.Â Three children were born to this union; Jim, Bonnie and Charles Jr.Â
Charles later married Marilyn Saner April 21, 1984.Â They made their home in Halsey.Â
Through the years Charles worked as a ranch hand and later at the Halsey Forest.Â
Donald Duane Skeen, 72, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Ashley Manor in Chubbuck, Idaho.
Funeral Services will be at a later date in Broken Bow. Â
Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Cecil Dale Smith, 91, of Grand Island, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at Bickford Cottage.

He was born April 17, 1923, at his parentsâ€™ home in Fullerton. He grew up on the family farm.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a cryptographer.
He was united in marriage June 22, 1947, to Ethel Georgia Omer in Fullerton.
Leslie E. Kleeb, 96, passed away after a brief illness Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice Legacy in Bentonville, Ark. He was born Aug. 18, 1918, outside Broken Bow, to John Ulrich Kleeb and Lillian Grace Leck Kleeb.
In 1942 he married Jackie Shadden and they moved to Denver, Colo.
Leslie enlisted in the Army Air Corps and graduated from flight school in Pecos, Texas. He became a flight instructor and achieved the rank of Captain.
Donna L. Staab, age 82 of Broken Bow, passed away Nov. 12, 2014, at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln.
Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow with the Rev. Mel Shepherd officiating.Â
Burial will be at a later date.Â
Memorials are suggested to the Ansley or Broken Bow First Christian Church.
Donna L. Staab was born April 1, 1932, to Arlene Hastings. June 20, 1954, she was married to Robert Dean Staab, in Ansley.
Dwight Eliot Porter was born October 13, 1961, in Ord, to Lawrence and Marlyn (Jensen) Porter. He was the second of five children. His mother passed away when Dwight was six years old.
