Howard Pracht, age 89 of Broken Bow, died Dec. 1, 2014, at his home.
Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, in the First Baptist Church in Broken Bow with the Rev.Jurdan Counts officiating. Burial was in the Broken Bow Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Gideonâ€™s Bibles or the First Baptist Church.
Jack L. Mattson, 73 of Grand Island died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln.
Celebration of Life Service were Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home.Â Dan Naranjo officiated. Family will be greeting friends one hour prior to services.
Mr. Mattson was born April 3, 1941, at Dunning, the son of Etta Mae (Gould) Mattson.
Irene M. Price, 78, of Grand Island, formerly of Shelton, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at the Golden Living Center â€“ Grand Island Park Place. Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at the Oâ€™Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Gibbon.Â Interment followed at the Shelton Cemetery.Â
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Irene Marie Price was born Jan. 28, 1936 in Broken Bow, to Solomon and Hazel (Wagner) Jackson. She attended school in Broken Bow.Â
Shirley R. Wolsleben, 79, of Bellevue, formerly of St. Libory and Grand Island, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at the Huntington Park Care Center in Papillion.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. Her family members will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
Mrs. Wolsleben was born Dec. 7, 1934, at Sargent, the daughter of Lysle B. and Guyneth E. (Scott) Orvis.
Bernard D. Staab, 85, of Kearney died of acute leukemia Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at his home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Living Faith Fellowship Church (3311 Avenue I) in Kearney with the Rev. Doug Shada officiating.
Graveside services will be prior to services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Military rites at the grave will be provided by the Kearney American Legion Post #52, V.F.W. Post #759 and the Nebraska National Guard Military Honors Team.
Dona V. Martin was born April 20, 1924, to John and Bessie Culp Harrold at Alexandria. She went to be with her Lord Nov. 27, 2014, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 7 days.
Dona worked side by side with her father on the farm until after her graduation in 1942 from high school at Merna. She then moved to Broken Bow where she worked at the City CafĂ©. It was there she met Leonard â€śSoapyâ€ť Martin.
They were married in Fremont, Oct. 6, 1946, and lived in Fremont until Soapy graduated from AutoBody School and they moved back to Broken Bow to make their home.Â
Robert Wallace Brainard was born to Margaret Martha and John Stuart Brainard in Anselmo, Sept. 24, 1925, and passed away Nov. 21, 2014, in Eugene, Ore.
Growing up on a small ranchÂ in a family of seven children he learned at an early age to take on the responsibilities of an adult helping his mother provide for the family.
He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Glea Wykoff, in 1945.Â
Sandra L. Schmitz age 73, of Fremont passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at her home.
Sandra was born Dec. 13, 1940, to Earl and Verna Price. Sandra grew up in Broken Bow and graduated valedictorian of her class in 1959. After high school she attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
After school she moved to Merna and began raising her children on the farm. She divorced in 1973 and spent a few more years in Broken Bow before moving to Omaha. While in Omaha she worked for Mangelsenâ€™s. She lived in many different places before returning to Fremont.
Vivian M. Ditch, age 82, of North Platte, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, at Centennial Park. She was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Milford, to George and Ruby (Swisher) Porter. She grew up in Arnold.
She married Thomas Robinson July 3, 1949, and to this union two daughters were born, Nancy and Judy.
She then married Ivan Ditch Jan. 16, 1957, and to this union two sons were born, Ira and Sean.
Emma was born Sept. 6, 1923, on a farm in Round Valley Community in Custer County, Nebraska to Joseph and Anna (Jares) Jezbera. She attended school in Round Valley through the 10th grade.
Emma assisted her parents on the farm for many years.
May 12, 1956, she was married to Alvin Smolik in Sargent. They made their home in Sargent and years later moved to a farm northeast of Sargent.
