Ray Lewandowski, 79

March 24, 2011

Ray Lewandowski, 79, of Litchfield, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at his home in Litchfield. Services were Monday, March 21, at St. Gabriel’s Church in Hazard with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. Burial was in the Litchfield Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Litchfield Fire Department or St. Gabriel’s Altar Society. Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna was in charge of arrangements.
Ray Lewandowski was born Decc 17, 1931, in Sherman County, to John and Barbara (Kaminski) Lewandowski. He was educated in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1949.

Mary Lane, 88

March 24, 2011

Mary M. Lane, age 88 of Lincoln, formerly of the Callaway Broken Bow area died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Gramercy Hill in Lincoln. Funeral services were March 25, 2011, at the Berean Fundamental Church in Broken Bow with Pastor Larry DeMoss and Pastor Steve Selfridge officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Callaway. Memorials may be made to the Berean Church, Homeward Trails, or the Grace Community Evangelical Free in Lincoln.
Mary Mildred Lane was born November 12, 1922, near Callaway, Nebraska to Bryan R. and Anna (Pitkin) Price.

C. Azale Line, 89

March 24, 2011

C. Azale Line, 89 of Miller, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services were March 24, at 10:30 a.m. at the Miller Methodist Church in Miller with the Rev. Bonnie Brock officiating. Burial will be at the Armada Cemeter in Miller. Visitation is planned prior to services Thursday at the church. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Stella Carruth, 96

March 24, 2011

Stella Helen Carruth, age 96 of North Platte, passed away March 16, 2011, at Premier Estates. She was born Aug. 23, 1914, in Milburn to William and Cora Clarke Barnes.
Stella grew up in Blaine County. She married Clayton Carruth Oct. 28, 1934, in Greeley. He preceded her in death in 1963.
The couple lived in Blaine County for many years. They lived in Custer County for five years and then back to Blaine County. Stella worked at local restaurants and for the Brewster School System.

Anna Hunt, 78

Anna Margaret “Tully” Hunt was born June 8, 1932, to Patrick and Katie (Sherlock) Tully. She left this world March 11, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Jodi, of Milburn, surrounded by her family.
She spent her early childhood on a farm north of Oconto. In 1945, Anna and her family moved to Ortello Valley southwest of Anselmo. Anna graduated from Merna High School in 1950.
Shortly after graduating she began the journey to realizing one of her lifelong passions: teaching. Anna taught first at Cottage Country School off Ryno Road.

Delpha Hoblyn, 97

Delpha Deloris (Madsen) Hoblyn was born August 31, 1913, to William and Margaret (Stender) Madsen at Mason City. She grew up in the Basin area by Mason City.
At an early age, she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Basin Zion Lutheran Church.
Delpha attended grade school at the Basin School and graduated from Mason City High School in 1931. After graduating from high school, she worked for the Doug Mills family.
April 27, 1937, Delpha married Ray Hoblyn at Ansley. To this union, four children were born, Robert, Dianne, James and DeLoris.

Ellen Karlberg, 83

March 17, 2011

Ellen L. Karlberg, 83, of Sumner, earthly life ended and she entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior March 11, 2011.
Ellen Lorraine Karlberg was born to Ralph and Mary (Lahm) Scoville Aug. 25, 1927, in Sumner. She attended school in Sumner for 12 years and graduated from Sumner High School in 1944, at age 16.

LeRoy Beshaler, 81

LeRoy C. Beshaler, 81, of Callaway, died March 12, 2011, at the Callaway District Hospital.
LeRoy was the beloved son of Charles and Della (Hickenbottom) Beshaler. LeRoy graduated from Callaway High School in 1948, and worked with his father on the Beshaler farm. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1951, and was honorably discharged in 1953. He was in the 3rd platoon Company “D” 634th Armored Infantry Division.
Following his time in the Army LeRoy moved back to Callaway and worked with his father on the farm.

Marilyn Gray, 73

Marilyn Gray, 73, of Fort Morgan, Colo., died just after midnight, Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo., following a short illness.
Marilyn Kay Raymond was born to Maxine E. (Munn) and Harland C. Raymond in Broken Bow, April 25, 1937. She lived her childhood in Broken Bow and Anselmo, and a short time in Los Angeles during World War II when her father served in the Pacific with the U.S. Army. She graduated from Anselmo High School in 1955.

Mary Ann Clinger, 89

March 10, 2011

Mary Ann Clinger, age 89 of Ansley, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at her son's home in North Platte, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be March 11, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ansley with the Rev. Robert Hughbanks and the Rev. Bill Ragan officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery. A Praise Service will be Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in North Platte with the Rev. Dave Logsdon officiating.
