Area teams bring home four gold medal winners

Four area athletes were crowned as gold medal champions at the NSAA High School Track and Field Championships Saturday at Omaha Burke Stadium. Ansley’s Siera Rohde and Mullen’s Gabe Connealy successfully defended their champion status as they became back-to-back champions in their respective events. Rohde became a two-time champion in the Class D 400 meter dash while Gabe Connealy became a two-time champion in the Class D discus. Connealy through for a winning distance of 179 feet-6 inches.
