The Spirit had been in close games before during this season. None of them went as planned.
In their final game of the season at Tomahawk Park, a seventh-inning rally changed all that.
Broken Bow trailed 7-3 entering the final inning and then put their bats to work. Timely hitting by Tressa Ripp, Karly Boje and Jasmyn Brooks helped seal the 8-7 comeback victory for the Spirit.
The game ended on an RBI single from Brooks.

A two-RBI single by Jake McCormick followed up by an RBI single from Michael Coleman helped Broken Bow secure the West division title Wednesday night.
Broken Bow held off Holdredge for a 9-4 victory. The victory helped them stay undefeated in league play this season. Their overall record stands at 13-2.
While the winning streak for Broken Bow stands at seven games, coach Jerry Pomplun would like to see some more improvements out of the team, particularly on the offensive side.
