Mullen's girls basketball team stayed undefeated with a 55-36 victory while Sandhills/Thedford's boys team picked up their third straight win with a 50-40 victory over Mullen. For more information, check out the next edition of the Custer County Chief.

Sandhills/Thedford got off to a fast start out of the holiday break as the boys team defeated South Loup 73-41 and the girls finished with a 58-29 victory. Sandhills/Thedford will take on Mullen tomorrow night in a matchup of two of the conference's best teams. For more information, see the next edition of the Custer County Chief.

The Broken Bow Elks Lodge is sponsoring the local Hoop Shoot Jan. 5. It will be held in the activities building for ages 8-13.
Age Groups:
8-9 year olds 8:30-9:00 am compete at 9 am
10-11 year olds 9:15- 9:45 am compete at 9:45 am
12-13 year olds 10:00-10:30 am compete at 10:30
Fast Facts:
-The Elks Lodge National Hoop Shoot is a free throw contest for youth ages 8-13.
-More than 2.5 million youth participate each year
-Beginning at local Elks Lodges, contestants advance through local, district, state, regional and national competitions
