Broken Bow topped Valentine 20-0 Friday night to move to 2-2 on the season while Valentine falls to 1-3. The Indians got touchdown runs from Grayson Minnick (41 yards), Zac Jones (one yard) and Jeremy Christner (five yards). The Indians defense kept the Badgers out of the end zone after turnovers twice facing a short field. Broken Bow turned the ball over four times, but forced two interceptions of their own.

Jayde Atkins, Broken Bow, is getting ready to compete this weekend at the 2013 Ak-Sar-Ben’s Heartland Invitational Scholarship High School Rodeo Champions Challenge in Omaha.
She is one of Nebraska’s best in the High School Rodeo arena. There is scholarship money on the line … but even better, there are bragging rights. And Jayde this past year has already earned a few of her own, including All Around Cowgirl this past weekend in Broken Bow.
After a timeout in the 4th set, Broken Bow coach Skylar Rohde yelled to her team, "don't let them come back."
They followed through beautifully as Broken Bow beat Ravenna 25-10 in the third set to cap a 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 26-24, 25-10) victory.
Broken Bow turned the tide in the third set when they were down 24-23 before Rohde took a timeout to motivate her team.
Broken Bow Libero Sydney Holcomb came up with two serving aces to help the Indians rally to win 26-24, sucking the remaining life out of the Bluejays.
