BROKEN BOW -- The Broken Bow Indians dominated the Ainsworth Bulldogs Friday night picking up their first district win. The Indians scored quickly and often in the first quarter. Tyler Kozisek was on the receiving end of a Nathan Scott pass good for a 30-yard touchdown then Adam Pracht scored with a 70-yard run on the Indian's next possession to give the Indians an quick 14-0 lead in route to a 44-0 win.
Defensively, the Indians held Ainsworth to 20 rushing yards and 49 passing yards.
MERNA -- The Sargent Bulldogs jump out to a 48-0 lead midway through the second quarter before Anselmo-Merna scored their first touchdown. Joseph Christen scored twice in the second quarter but the Coyotes still trailed the Bulldogs 48-22 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Sargentâ€™s Guy Fenske threw three touchdown passes to put the game away for the Bulldogs.
Sargent will host winless SMC Friday while Anselmo-Merna must travel to Mullen.

BROKEN BOW -- Last season Broken Bow and Chadron met in the Class C1 quarterfinals with identical undefeated records. The Indians won the game at Chadron to advance to the Class C1 semifinals. With the realignment of of school classification, the Indians now have Chadron on their regular season schedule.
Heading into last Friday nightâ€™s match up, both teams again met with identical records. This time, both teams entered the game with 1-2 records and both desperately seeking their second win of the season. On this night, it was Broken Bow who, once again, prevailed as the victors.
TAYLOR -- The Anselmo-Merna Lady Coyotes improved to 8-5 on the season after defeating Sandhills/Thedford 22-25, 25-16, 25-22 and Loup County 25-14, 25-17 at the Loup County Triangular. In the first match, Sandhills/Thedford edged by Loup County 25-17, 29-27.
In other games across the Custer County Chief coverage area, Ansley defeated Litchfield 25-7, 25-9 and Sargent 25-19, 25-14 improving their record to 18-0. Sargent rebounded after their loss to beat S-E-M 25-13, 25-23. S-E-M then squeaked by Litchfield 25-23, 25-22. See next week's Custer County Chief for full story and statistics.
