Broken Bow improved to 3-3 with an upset win over the host North Platte St. Patrick's and a win over Cozad Thursday night.
Against North Platte St. Pat's, Julia Loy and Lexie Berghorst each recorded nine kills to power the Indians offensively. Ashley Kirkpatrick finished with three kills to go with two from Krisha Scott and Rachel Gaston.
Loy also had a solid game on defense, recording nine blocks to go with four from Berghorst and three from Scott.
Gaston and Sydney Holcomb lead the way with 13 and 10 digs while Morgan Hueftle and Krisha Scott combined for 15 assists.
Twin Loup improved to 4-0 Thursday night with a 3-2 (25-14, 14-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13) win over the Axtell wildcats.
Twin Loup was lead by Becca Clarks 28 kills and Madison Kozeal finished with 11.

In this week's edition of the Custer County Chief, it was reported that Anselmo-Merna beat Ansley-Litchfield 2-0 Tuesday night. The Chief was provided incorrect information via the maxpreps website. Ansley-Litchfield won the match 2-0. The Chief apologizes for the error.

I became excited that this will be the last time I go to football camp and run through drills on the hottest days of summer.
