Amanda Overy and Mike Smith proudly announce their engagement and approaching marriage, Wednesday, March 30, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow.
A reception will follow the ceremony at the Broken Bow Municipal Auditorium.
The bride to be is the daughter of Jeff and Michelle Overy of Hastings, and Nadean and Rod Wilkerson of Pauline, Neb.
The prospective groom is the son of Greg and Jodi Smith of Milburn.
Mike is the owner of Just-A-Wee in Milburn. Amanda works at McMeen Physical Therapy in Broken Bow.

Jaxen Jonathon Pettit

Jaxen Jonathon Pettit arrived into this world Dec. 25, 2012, at 8:19 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Born to joyous parents Bobbi Ann (Jacobsen) and Jared Pettit of Kearney, Jaxen weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces.
He is welcomed home by his parents and big sister, Emmi Ann, age 2 1/2. He is also welcomed by proud grandparents Ron and Judy Jacobsen of Broken Bow, and Mary Pettit and the late Gordon Pettit of Sidney. Great-grandparents are Paul Jacobsen of Merna, and Helen Mundt of Alliance.

James, Karen and Michael Blakeman of Eaton, Colo., have welcomed Jaime Elizabeth into their home. Jaime arrived Jan. 7, 2013, weighing in at 7 pounds 5 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Mike and Janet Six. Paternal grandparents are Bob and Judy Blakeman.

Duane and Eugenia Vannice celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary Jan. 9. The couple, formerly from Halsey where Duane was postmaster for almost 30 years and Jean was an elementary education teacher, moved to Lincoln in 2007. Amy Marie Seda and Brandon Lane Nansel were joined in marriage Sept. 15, 2012, at the United Methodist Church in Arnold. The Rev. Dale Coates officiated the ceremony.
Amy is the daughter of Roger and Sue Seda of Anselmo, and Brandon is the son of Brad and Connie Nansel of Arnold.
Serving as maids of honor were Delite Weinman and Megan Michaud. Alisha Eberle, Amber Ourada and Tosha Werkmeister were bridesmaids.
Best men were Bryce Nansel, brother of the groom, Brent Kulp, Justin Connor, Lindy Dailey and Bryce Kulp.

Danielle M. Harms and Aarin M. Fellows were married Aug. 18, 2012, at Lifehouse Church in Hastings, with Pastor Brett Mackey officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dan and Kim Harms of Glenvil. She is a graduate from Sandy Creek High School and is currently in her senior year at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. She will graduate in May 2013 with a degree in elementary education and Spanish.

Kelley Lehmer & Ryan Bristol

Rick and Lisa Bristol of Ansley, are happy to announce the engagement of their son, Ryan Bristol, to Kelley Lehmer, daughter of Becky Lehmer of Aurora. The two met while both were attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Ryan, a 2010 graduate of Amherst High School, currently attends UNK studying Agri-Business. Kelley, a 2007 graduate of Aurora High School and a 2011 graduate from UNK, currently works in Kearney, at Region 3 Behavioral Health Services using her bachelor's degree in Family Studies.
The couple is planning a June 1, 2013 wedding in Aurora.

The bride and groom reside in Kearney. They both work and attend school full time. They will both graduate in May 2013 from University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Byron and Ashley (Marple) Kringle of Lincoln are proud to announce the birth of their son, Malachi James. Malachi was born Oct. 19, 2012, and weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces, and was 20 inches long. He is also welcomed home with love by his big sister, Kyla. Proud grandparents are Jerry and Debra Marple of Broken Bow, and Ron and Jean Kringle of Lincoln. Great-grandparents include Pat Gamble of Broken Bow and Don and Phyllis Orr of Greeley, Colo.

Deb Mayor of Broken Bow, and Bob Mayor of Torrington, Wyo., would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Barbara “Erin” Mayor, to Derrick Clem; both live in Belleville, Ill.
Erin is a 2006 graduate of Broken Bow High School and 2011 graduate of UNL. She is employed as a Team Leader Quality for ConAgra Mills in Chester, Ill.
Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Beulah and the late Kenneth Eggleston of Oconto, and the late Barbara and H. L. Mayor of Buffalo, Wyo.
