Alvin and Rachel Fama are proud to announce the birth of their son, Adrian Matthias Fama, born Jan. 23, 2012 at 4:35 p.m. He weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. His two older sisters, AnnaBeth and Julia, were excited to finally welcome him home. Grandparents are Felix, Jr. and Corazon Fama of the Philippines, and David and Debi White of Sargent.

Lyndsey Leigh Foster and Travis Scott Porter were united in marriage, Aug. 13, 2011, at St. Anselm's Catholic Church in Anselmo, with Father Jim Hunt officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Julie Foster of Broken Bow, and the late Kevin Foster, and the granddaughter of Kaye Carr, Springview.
The groom is the son of Mark and Carole Porter of Merna, and the grandson of Dorothy Porter, Broken Bow.

Tara Marie Weaver and Preston Jerod Foster were married, July 9, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in North Platte. Dr. Douglas Delp officiated the wedding ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jack and Theresa Weaver of North Platte. The groom is the son of Julie Foster, Broken Bow, and the late Kevin Foster. The bride's grandparents include Dean and Helen Weaver of Stamford, and Mary Dow of North Platte. Kaye Carr, Springview, is the grandmother of the groom.

Great-grandparents are Warren and Mardelle Ellis of Broken Bow, Bob and Laurel Pracht of Sun City, Ariz., Karen and Larry Millikin of Colorado Springs, Colo., Glen Kettleborough of Anselmo, and Lillian Kettleborough of Broken Bow.

Paisley Joy Seda

Stephanie Linden and Riley Seda, of Anselmo, proudly announce the birth of a daughter, Paisley Joy Seda. Paisley was born Jan. 15, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. She weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and was 22 inches long. Proud grandparents are Asher and Irene Linden, and Roger and Sue Seda.

Dirk Franzen and Jennie Kuta, of Ord, are proud to announce the arrival of their son, Dexter Wayne Franzen. He was born Nov. 20, 2011 at 5:08 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Dexter is welcomed home by big sister, Haley. His grandparents are Hunter and Pam Goldsby of Berwyn, John and Barb Kuta of Loup City, Jason and Cindy Gates of Broken Bow, and the late Wayne Franzen.

Lynn and Missy Holt of Thedford are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their son, Alan Michael, to Jessica Sue McClure, daughter of Susan McClure of Aurora, and Michael McClure of Lincoln.
Alan is a 2007 graduate of Sandhills High School in Dunning, and is currently a fifth year senior at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, majoring in business administration, economics emphasis. He will graduate May 4, 2012.

She is welcomed home by her big brother, Colton.

Hayden was born Thursday, Jan. 19, at 8:16 p.m. at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte. He weighed 8 pounds 0.5 ounces, and was 21 inches long.
Grandparents are Darrel and Wilda Leisy of Atkinson, and Rick and Nancy Hendricks of Atkinson. Great-Grandparents are Hilda Yung of Hastings, Rita Muhm of Alliance, Bob & Marilyn Hendricks of Atkinson, and Gene and Della Schwindt of Salina, Kan.

Mr. and Mrs. Neal Neth of Broken Bow are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Kristen Lee, to Nathan Michael Houska, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Houska of Bloomfield.
Kristen is a 2004 graduate of Broken Bow High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor of science degree in Dietetics. She is currently employed as a Nutrition Assistant at the University of Nebraska’s Nutrition Education Program through Extension.
