Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Mason

Jessica Lynn Chandler and Andrew Mason were united in marriage Sept. 23, 2011, at Pinewood Bowl Amphitheater at Pioneers Park in Lincoln. The wedding was officiated by J.D. Furrow.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Carolyn Chandler of Anselmo, and the granddaughter of Bob and Dolores Call of Merna. She is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a master’s degree in Social Work.
The groom is the son of Marlyn and the late Tom Mason of Superior. He is employed as a Physical Therapist at the University of Nebraska Health Center.

Andrea Smith & Brent Thomas

Geri Ann Smith of Burwell, and Leland and Mary Thomas of Dunning, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Andrea Rae Smith and Brent James Thomas.
Andrea is a 2005 graduate of Burwell High School. She is currently employed at VCHS in Ord. She will be finishing her massage therapy degree in May, 2012. Andrea is the granddaughter of Jean Ann Teahon and the late Jerry Teahon of Dunning, and Barbara Smith and the late Lowell Smith of Hastings.

The future bride graduated from Ansley High School in 2004, and Southeast Community College in Lincoln, with an associates degree in Human Service. She is currently employed as an Office Manager and Medical Assistant at Plaza West Psychiatrists in Lincoln.

Jesse Kulp and Kylie Talacko, of Omaha, are excited to announce the arrival of their first child. Easton Eugene Kulp was born Dec. 21, 2011, at 10:55 a.m. at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 inches long. Easton’s grandparents are Ron and Terri Talacko of Omaha, Scott and Yolonda Spanel of Broken Bow, and Jeff Kulp of Callaway.

Jared and Dawn Schemper of Holdrege, proudly announce the birth of a son, Sawyer Lambert Schemper, born Dec. 13, 2011. Sawyer was born at 5:48 p.m. at Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege weighing 7 pounds 6 ounces and measuring 19 1/4 inches. He is welcomed home by four sisters; Sierra, Sammie Jo, Sabrina and Sophia. Grandparents are LaVern and Carlene Schemper of Holdrege, Gene Wyckoff of Holdrege and Cindy Neben of Dunning. Great-grandparents are Dwight and Phyllis Saner of Dunning, Lila Engelhardt of Almena, Kan., and Ailene Schemper of Almena, Kan.

Michaela Hamel and Mike Schweitzer of Hastings were united in marriage Sept. 10, 2011, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings. The bride is daughter of Michael Hamel of North Platte and Coralene Hamel of Hastings. The groom is the son of Marvin and Kathy Schweitzer of Arnold.
Mike’s grandparents are Ed and Betty Pierson of Arnold, formerly of Broken Bow, and the late Clyde and Thelma Schweitzer of Broken Bow.

Brandon and Kelli (Kastens) Brueggemann of Gibbon are proud to introduce their daughter, Madison Ann Bruegge-mann, born Nov. 23, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. She weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long. Madison joins a brother, Collin, at home.
Proud grandparents are Garry and Glenda Kastens of Anselmo, Bill and Cathleen Brueggemann of Plattesmouth, and Syndie Beavers of Kearney. Great-grandparents are Keith and Marie Kastens of Merna, and Wayne Tushick of Kearney.
