Petyon Joel Polacek was born Feb. 17, 2011, to proud parents Mitch and Cheryl Polacek of Wahoo. He weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 22 1/2 inches long. Grandparents are Paul and Renee Polacek of Wahoo, and Joel and Becky Bartak of Anselmo. Great-grandparents are Emil Polacek of Wahoo, Lewis and Janet Myers of Merna, and Gloria Bartak of Broken Bow. Peyton is also welcomed by great-great-grandmother Dorothy Province of Broken Bow.

Alexander Joseph & Tyler Dean Konwinski

J.D. and Katrina (Trimble) White of Broken Bow proudly announce the arrival of their son, Lachlan Bryan White, born Feb. 3, 2011. Lachlan weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 18 inches long. Proud grandparents are Don and June White of Berwyn, and Bryan and Cynthia Trimble of Ogallala. Great-grandparents are Duane and Helen White of Bayard, Lavern and Leona Duryea of Mason City, Wayne Trimble of Kearney and Marilyn Trimble of Kearney.

Lonnie and Suellen Koepke of Broken Bow proudly announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miranda Ellen K. Koepke, to Daniel Scott Stoll.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Broken Bow High School, and a 2007 graduate of Doane College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and speech communications. Miranda received her master’s degree in counseling at Doane College in 2010. She is currently employed as a Mental Health Practitioner at the University of Nebraska in Kearney.

Katrina Holland & Mark Shaw

Paul and Mary Holland, and Dan and Mary Shaw, all of Broken Bow, announce the upcoming marriage of their children, Katrina Marie Holland and Mark Daniel Shaw.
Katrina is in her 4th year at Hastings College studying for a degree in elementary education with an emphasis in early childhood. Mark is also in his 4th year at Hastings College studying for a degree in elementary education.
Mark is the grandson of Bill and Darlene Shaw of Broken Bow.
The couple plans to be married June 18, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in Broken Bow with the Rev. Todd Karges officiating.

Cristin Rooney and Max Fay happily announce their engagement and upcoming wedding May 7, 2011, in Broken Bow. Cristin is the daughter of Bob and Karen Rooney of Brewster. She is a 2001 graduate of Sandhills High School, and a 2003 graduate of Mid-Plains Community College. The bride-to-be is currently employed at West Plains Bank. Max is the son of Karen Fay and the late Max Fay. He is a 2000 graduate of God’s Country Academy Homeschool, and is a self-employed rancher.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Sargent High School, and a 2010 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is currently employed with Northwest Community Action Partnership.
The prospective groom is a 2004 graduate of Rushville High School, and a 2009 graduate of Chadron State College. He is currently the Chadron State College assistant wrestling coach.
The couple is planning to be married June 11, 2011, in Sargent.

Kristi Huppert and Brandon Peterson announce their engagement and approaching marriage. Kristi is the daughter of Daniel and the late Sherry Huppert of Falls City. Brandon is the son of Tom and Karen Schneider of Grand Island, and the grandson of Leonard and the late Bonnie Peterson of Ansley.
Kristi is a 1998 graduate of Falls City High School, and a 2002 graduate of Hastings College with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and human services administration. She is employed as administrator of Jonesbrook Estates in Falls City.

She is joined at home by a brother, Caden, and sister, Alison. Proud grandparents are Bob and Ann Holm of Mason Cit, and Daryl and Jan McCaslin of North Platte.
