Ansley upends Litchfield

January 19, 2012

Ansley 54
Litchfield 49

ANSLEY--It was announced last year Ansley and Litchfield would co-op in all sports beginning with boys basketball this winter.
However, it was decided to co-op the rest of activities starting fall of 2012. Currently Litchfield and Ansley play together for the boy’s basketball team, but their girl’s team remains separate.
Talk about an awkward situation when the Ansley and Litchfield girls’ basketball teams met last week, but a game was still to be played.

Sargent dethrones Howells

November 22, 2011

Howells was looking to win title number 10.
Sargent wanted to remove the disappointing feeling after being blown out by this same Howells team just one year ago.
The Bulldogs did just that and dropped Howells 21-18 and in the process ended Howells’ 34-game win streak.

Driscoll: Nebraska, Penn State and Ron Brown

November 17, 2011

It's been one week since the firing of legendary coach Joe Paterno for failing to morally do the right thing and report child abuse.
The man who was known for winning, and winning the right way did not do the right thing and it cost him his job, tarnished his reputation, and changed the way many of us will now look at athletics.
I'm a Christian and it's hard for me to come to terms with this and wrap my mind around it. Fortunately, the child predator was caught.
Unfortunately, he wasn't caught soon enough.
Numerous questions will probably never be answered.
