WELCOME TO THE NEBRASKA SOYBEAN CHECKOFF BOARD

What is the Nebraska Soybean Checkoff Board?
The Nebraska Soybean Board is a private, non-profit soybean checkoff board that is responsible for the research and promotion of soybeans in an effort to increase the profitability of the state's 22,000 soybean producers. The National Soybean Checkoff was created through the 1990 Farm Bill with the intent of developing a checkoff system in which soybean farmers could contribute and benefit equally. Under the Act & Order, each bushel of soybeans at first point of sale in the US is checked off at a rate of 1/2 of 1 percent x net sales price. (.005 x value).
