Amy Bundy, 89

Amy Bundy, age 89 of Broken Bow, formerly of Ansley, died Oct. 3, 2012, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Amy Natalie (Tobin) Bundy was born May 18, 1923, to Amelia (Small) and Walter Tobin at Clarks. As a little girl, and the oldest of four girls in the family, she enjoyed helping her father on the family farm.
She loved the farm life and caring for the animals. She graduated from high school at Hordville. The family then moved to the Comstock - Arcadia area where she met and married Evert Allen Bundy.
They were married Aug. 5, 1944. To this union was born three sons: William, Glen, and George. During the mid 1950's the family moved to Ansley, where she lived until 2006. Failing health forced her to need assisted living and later nursing home care.
She leaves behind, son Glen (Carolyn) Bundy of New Ulm, Minn., and son George (Melvina) Bundy of Ansley,; daughter-in-law, Carol Bundy of Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters, Margaret Nelson of Lincoln and Shirley Land of Callaway; brother-in-law, Ralph Sell, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amelia and Walter Tobin; step-father, George Sell; husband, Evert; son, William; and sister, Alice Sell, along with many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services were Monday Oct. 8, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Ansley, with the Rev. Bill Ragan officiating. Burial was in the Douglas Grove Cemetery at Comstock, with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Ansley Baptist Church or Hospice.
