Arthur Dilsaver, 80

Arthur William (Bud) Dilsaver, 80 of Ord, died Aug. 31, 2012, at 2 a.m. at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. He was born June 22, 1927, to Arthur E. and Mary Margaret (Replogle) Dilsaver in the Madison Square Community in Loup County.
He graduated from Loup County High School in 1944. He helped out on the family farm raising black Angus cattle, pigs, corn and oats. He loved to ride horses. He worked there until Sept. 4, 1949, when he married Marie Maybelle (Dunbar) at the United Methodist Church in Taylor.
They settled on the Frank Vintage place west of Taylor until August 2006, when they moved to Parkview in Ord. He enjoyed raising black Angus cattle, pigs, milk cows, sheep, chickens and all kinds of crops and hay.
He was a member of the Taylor Lions Club, Fair board member of Loup County for 37 years, served on the election board for many years, a member of the board of the Liberty school district and a member of the ESU. He enjoyed bowling every Wednesday night, loved football, baseball, watching Husker football and volleyball.
He enjoyed gardening, watching children and grandchildren in sports, 4-H shows, grandchildren riding his little tractor, building forts in grandpa's trees.He loved to weld and if anything could be made stronger or better, he would sure try.
Art is preceded in death by his infant son, Fredric; his parents, a sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, three brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law and a son-in-law.
Art is survived by his wife, Marie Maybelle; two sons, Richard Dilsaver and John Dilsaver; three daughters, Marcia Wales and husband Chet, Kathleen Connell and Judy Bower and husband Ron; sister, Margaret Davis; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Betty Dunbar; 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at the Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent with the Rev. Greg Barnes officiating. Burial was in the Moulton Cemetery west of Taylor.
