BBPD makes several arrests during national campaign

According to a press release issued by the Broken Bow Police Department, BBPD made two DUI arrests, assisted in three other stops that resulted in DUI arrests, issued 23 citations, issued 28 warnings and answered 150 total calls for service during the recent *You Drink, You Drive, You Lose" campaign.

Three officers worked 59.5 hours of overtime from Aug. 17 through Sept. 3 as part of the campaign funded through a Nebraska Office of Highway Safety qrant. Agencies from across the state participated in the campaign with the goal of getting intoxicated drivers off the road.
During the campaign Broken Bow Police Officers reported:
23 Total citations - for various offenses including Speeding, No Valid Registration, No Insurance, No Operator's License, Stop Sign Violation, Driving Under Suspension, Revocation and Possession of Marijuana.

23 Total warnings - for various offenses including Speeding, White Light to Rear, Name Change on License, Fictitious Display of Plates, Driving on Shoulder, No Headlights.

Over 150 total calls for service - including civil disputes, domestic
disturbances, assaults, unwanted subjects, ordinance violations, threats,
suspicious activity, traffic complaints, animal complaints, property
disputes, drug activity, criminal mischief, etc.
