Beatrice Cosner, 91

Beatrice Cosner, age 91, of Broken Bow, passed away April 29, 2014, at the Golden LivingCenter of Broken Bow.

Beatrice was born Nov. 16, 1922, in Berwyn, to Lester and Kathryn (Pirnie) Wachter. She was raised on the farm and after high school she worked for the draft board during World War II and even had to draft her boyfriend.

Later, she married Harry Cosner May 19, 1946. They made their home in the Gates Community where they farmed for 30 years.

Harry and Beatrice then adopted two children, Dianne and Dennis. In 1972, she took a position at the Broken Bow High School with the Special Ed teacher and retired in 1988.

She went back to work in 1994 at the Transfer Station and retired in 2008.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and her parents Lester and Kathryn (Kat).

She is survived by one daughter, Dianne K. Mooney and husband Gordon of Stromsburg; and one son, Dennis Cosner of Broken Bow. Her grandchildren are Thomas Mooney of Stromsburg, Bertha Mooney of Osceola, Cynthia Mooney of Lincoln, and Charles Moore address unknown. One great-grandchild, Joselyn Moore of Osceola. Also, Ron and Val Wachter of Lincoln, and many other family and friends.
