Bessie Schultz, 90

Bessie Schultz, age 90 of Sargent, died Monday Dec. 13, 2010, at the Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with the Rev. Mark Stones officiating. Burial will be in the Somerford Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday Dec. 17, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Bessie is survived by three sons, Harvey and Cindi Schultz of York, Marvin and Raye Jean Schultz of Sargent, and Marlyn and Lori Schultz of Gering; three daughters, Marlene and Frank Amos of Doniphan, Karen and John Glidden of Ainsworth, and Carolyn and Mike Criss of Sargent; grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Bemis, Kimberly (Chuck) Keller, Chad (Gwen)Schultz, David (Lyndsey) Criss, Clinton (Kristal) Amos, Trevor Glidden, Amber (Brad) Downing, Jessica (Russell) Zierott, Chandra (Austin Lewis) Criss, Justin Schultz, Jody Schultz, and Ashlyn Schultz; great-grandchildren, Haleigh and Cade Bemis, Raylee and Gracee Downing, Ayden and Ava Amos, Peyton and Brennan Criss, and Kinslee Lewis; one sister, Emma Smolik of Sargent, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sandie; son, LeRoy; brothers, Edward, Frank, William, Chuck, and Louie, and two sisters, Lucy and Rosie.
Bessie was born Nov. 9, 1920, in Round Valley, to Joseph and Anna (Jares) Jezbera. She attended school at the Round Valley School.
Bessie married Sandie G. Schultz July 2, 1948. They made their home in the Sargent area, where they farmed and ranched.
Bessie enjoyed gardening. Bessie’s great love was for her family. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and all the wonderful times they had together.
