Bill Bruce, age 83, of Broken Bow, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Jennie Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the Berean Church in Broken Bow with Pastor Larry DeMoss officiating. Burial was in the Broken Bow Cemetery, with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to your favorite charity.
William Robert (Bill) Bruce was born Feb. 1, 1929, at Broken Bow, to William Robert and Grace Mariah (Jones) Bruce. Bill spent his entire life in Broken Bow except for a few years in Omaha where he attended a Bible College.
Bill was a very religious person and a member of the Berean Church serving for years on the Board. He is now with his Lord.
He will be remembered for his many years of working at Ben Franklin Store in Broken Bow, until he retired in 1997.
Survivors include a sister, Grace and husband David Brown of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Mr. and Mrs. John (Carol) Bruce of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; two nieces, Ann Brown and Pamela James, and one great-nephew, Alexander James.
