 Dwayne Eugene Adams, 62, passed away in a San Antonio, Texas, Hospice May 3, 2008, of Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born in Broken Bow Aug. 28, 1945, to Russell and Angenette (Hammond) Adams. Dwayne graduated from Broken Bow High School and the University of Nebraska.

 Ona M. Prescott, 94, was born Oct. 1, 1913, and departed our company to a better life April 20, 2008, at the Iowa City Mercy Hospital ICU following a brief illness. She was currently residing in Washington, Iowa.

Dale McCarney, 84, was called home to be with our Lord March 21, 2008, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, Pa., after a brief illness. He and his family previously lived in Broken Bow, where he was editor of the Custer County Chief prior to moving to Omaha. |

WaveValene (Harris) Garska, 91, of Taylor died May 1, 2008, at Jennie Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow. Services were May 5, 2008, at the Rhoad Funeral Home in Sargent with Fred Davis of the Worldwide Church of God officiating. Burial was at Madison Square Cemetery.
