Bobcats, one of three teams to advance

The South Loup Bobcats advanced to the second round of the Class D1 Football Playoffs. The Bobcats defeated Clearwater/Orchard 55-14 and will host Kenesaw Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Arnold. Kenesaw was a 58-42 winner over Sandhills/Thedford. The Knights' season ends with a 4-5 record.
In the Class D2 playoffs, Sargent and Mullen both advanced to the second round. Sargent handed Loup City a 48-14 loss while Mullen ended S-E-M's season with a 54-12 win. Sargent will host Pleasanton at 7 p.m. Wednesday night and Mullen will host Brady at 5 p.m. MT. Anselmo-Merna and Litchfield also suffered first round losses putting an end to their seasons. Anselmo-Merna lost to Eustis-Farnam 59-16 and Litchfield fell to Brady 26-7.
