Bow welcomes alumni, shoppers, carnival goers and barbecue lovers this weekend

July 11, 2012

The 5th Annual Chamber BBQ is one just one of the events taking place in Broken Bow this weekend. The bbq is set for Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.

Broken Bow High School alumni will be returning to the community this weekend, as both Crazy Days and Alumni Weekend are planned in Broken Bow.
The Kick-Off Event for the alumni will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Broken Bow Municipal Building. This will give alumni a chance to meet, mingle and register for the weekend, while enjoying wine and cheese, or beer and pretzels. This event is hosted by the Broken Bow Schools Foundation Board of Directors.
Saturday, alumni can enjoy a bus tour of Broken Bow, which will depart from the Municipal Building at 10 a.m.
The all alumni luncheon will be at noon, also at the Municipal Building, and the high school will be open for visitation from 2-4 p.m.
Saturday evening, various classes will host individual alumni gatherings as well.
The annual Crazy Days celebration gets underway today in Broken Bow. The event features sidewalk sales at businesses all around town Thursday through Saturday, and the D.C. Lynch Carnival will be at the Custer County Fairgrounds Thursday through Sunday.
Saturday’s events will also include a run/walk/bike event beginning at 6:30 a.m. at Melham Sports Complex. That evening will feature the 5th Annual BBQ from 6-8 p.m. in the grandstand area of the Fairgrounds. Price for the BBQ is $10 for adults, and $5 for children.
The band “Sweetwater” will be performing from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the east end of Building 18 Saturday night, and a beer garden will be open from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the west end of the grandstand in the fenced area.
For more information on any of the Crazy Days events, call the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce at 308-872-5691.
