Broken Bow Falls to Aurora in league final

Broken Bow's Kirby Pomplun hurls a pitch towards home plate. Pomplun had a rough outing as Aurora connected with a lot of Broken Bow pitches, scoring 12 in the first inning.

A rough first inning cost Broken Bow the league championship Monday night. Broken Bow fell to Aurora 15-5 in five innings. Aurora took at 12-0 in the first inning. The Indians outscored them the rest of the way, 5-3, but it wasn't enough. The game was a reschedule from the game on July 12 that was cancelled due to rain.

Broken Bow takes on Ravenna at home tonight at 7 p.m. It will be their final home game of the season before they start the district tournament on July 21 in Wahoo.

Their game is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. and they will take on the winner of Cozad and Shelton/Gibbon.
