Carol Trump, 72

Carol Ann Trump was born Feb. 27, 1941, near Elyria, to Albert and Anna (Vergin) Kirby. She died Dec. 4, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow.
Carol was baptized and confirmed in Bethany Lutheran Church. Carol graduated from North Loup High School in 1958. She then worked for her father on the farm and also took care of nieces and nephews. She met her future husband, Everett E. Trump, at a card game at a relative’s home. Carol and Everett were married Dec. 8, 1963, in Bethany Lutheran Church at Ord. To this union they were blessed with three children; Lori Marie, Steven Glen and Brian Scott.
Carol was a Day Care provider for 30 years. She loved taking care of children. She collected Cardinals, she loved flowers, baking cookies and cheesecake, Nebraska football and the Green Bay Packers. She never met a stranger.
She loved her family and spending time with them and especially her grandchildren Ty, Cody, Kally, Charles and Robert.
Carol entered the Golden Living Center in Broken Bow Dec. 8, 2011.
Survivors include her loving husband, Everett of Merna; daughter, Lori (Paul) Blakeman of Merna; two sons, Steve (Benita) Trump of Merriman, and Brian (Holly) Trump of Ord; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Burson and Lila Gross; one brother, Kenneth Kirby; granddaughter, Kylie Trump and niece Karen Gross.
Celebration of Life services were Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow with Pastor Andrew Black officiating. Interment was in the Ord City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
