Carolyn I. Haller, 68, of Wood River, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Mass of the Christian burial was Oct. 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wood River with the Rev. James Janovec officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wood River. Apfel Funeral Home of Wood River was in charge of arrangements.
Carolyn I. Haller was born Feb. 22, 1943, in Broken Bow, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruby (Humes) Moseley. She married Donald Haller Nov. 23, 1963, and the couple farmed in the Wood River area
Carolyn loved spending time with her grandkids, bridge, cooking, working in her yard, outings with the Red Hat Extension Club girls, quilting and hiking.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Donald of Wood River; sons, Daniel of Lincoln and Douglas of Shelton; daughter, Kila and husband Bryan Strasburger of Chicago. She leaves behind six grandchildren; Jeff, Kristen, Danielle, Daly, Alexis and Jacob, and one great-grandchild, Hallie.
Extended family include John and Bonnie Bellamy and their family.
She was preceded in death by parents and a sister.
