Clyde Loy, 96

Funeral services for Clyde Loy will be Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ansley with the Rev. Bill Ragan officiating. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery with Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family greeting friends 5 - 7 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church in Ansley.
Clyde Bernard Loy, son of Chester Sr. and Ethel (Fauss) Loy, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012. He was born Nov. 14, 1916, in a sod house on a farm four miles north of Ansley. He attended grade school at the Gonge School and graduated from Ansley High School in 1934.
After graduating, he farmed with his father on farms near Berwyn. In the spring of 1949, he moved with his parents to the Elmer Eggleston farm in the Janesville Community where he continued to rent on a year to year contract until 1970. August 21, 1956, Clyde was married to Pearl Lucille Price, oldest daughter of Ray and Bula (Brisbin) Price. They were married in the Baptist Church in Ansley. In 1970 they moved into a new home, which they had built on the farm they had purchased one mile northwest of Berwyn.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Pearl of Broken Bow; daughter, Lois (Gary ) Clay of Broken Bow; son, Ivan Loy of Ft. Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren, Michael (Ashley) Clay of Broken Bow, Tammy (Chris) Neel of McCook, Derek (Shelly) Clay of Broken Bow, and Brittany (Daniel) McDermott of Coralville, Iowa; five great-grandchildren, JoAnn and James Neel, Kolten and Bayler Clay, and Scott McDermott; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Loy of Cairo, and Doris Chelewski of Rifle, Colo., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth, Chester Jr., Cecil and Glenn; and sisters, Mildred, Helen, Pauline and Mabel.
