Dierking places 9th at Class C State Cross Country meet

Broken Bow's Cody Dierking leads teammate Patrick Wright at the Class C state meet in Kearney.

KEARNEY -- The Kearney Country Club was site of the 2010 State Cross Country Championships. Broken Bow's Cody Dierking earned a Top 10 finish placing ninth in 17:05.9. Gordon-Rushville's Cole Wellnitz was the Class C State Champion in 16:38.5. Also participating for Broken Bow was Patrick Wright who finished 82nd in 19:22.6.
Ogallala was the Class C team champion followed by Southwest Conference relative, Gothenburg who finished seventh.
In Class D, Sargent's David Vincent placed 33rd in 18:18.4. The Class D State Champion was Ainsworth's Michael Schumacher in 16:33.9.
Ainsworth became the Class D State Runner-up with 46 points behind state champion, Nebraska Christian with 37 points.
