Doctor returns from Heaven to speak at Arcadia

April 6, 2014

Dr. Mary Neal, a spinal surgeon from Jackson Hole, Wyo., will be the featured speaker at the 29th Annual Family Banquet in Arcadia Saturday, April 12. Dr. Neal, author of To Heaven and Back, will share, in person, the extraordinary account of her death, Heaven, Angels, and life again following a tragic kayak accident in southern Chile in 1999.
Dr. Neal drowned when her kayak became pinned at the bottom of a waterfall. She was declared dead when rescue workers could not get her out in time. She shares the remarkable story of her trip from life to death to eternal life and back again. Dr. Neal will talk about the way this miracle has changed her life with her athletic-loving family, her priorities, and her relationship with God and with other people. She will share how her experience helped her to deal with the untimely death of her son.
Her after-life experience has been featured on national media including WGN, Dr. Oz, and Fox and Friends and she has spoken to audiences throughout America, Latin America, and Europe.
The Family Banquet, sponsored by The Arcadia United Methodist Men, will be held in the Arcadia School New Gym and will feature a catered meal by The Country Neighbor. Special music will be provided by Julie Ostrand and Cindy Vose. Tickets must be purchased in advance (deadline is April 8) and are available for $7.50 each from the Arcadia United Methodist Men or by calling 308-202-0136.
